Merger and Acquisition IT Stack Integration
During the merger and acquisition process it is critical to make decisions fast and precisely with limited amounts of information. These decisions can affect many systems and processes down the line. In order to minimize the impact and consolidate IT stacks, it is a must to implement scalable solutions that can harmonize the operations, decrease licenses, make business run as one entity (common issue is when after M&A there are 2 silos working under same company name with employees, systems and processes that are not “talking” with each other).
There are many solutions that include umbrella frameworks to unify the system while leaving major room for changes as well as implementing a central platform and decommissioning redundant systems one by one.
Correct integrations should be used to leverage the supply channels and identified synergies as soon as possible. This includes:
- System choices and action plan
- Process changes
- Product lifecycle mapped to new technology
- Support/Maintenance tasks mapped to new technology
- Common Way Of Working – naming conventions, data formats, etc
